This Bird Does It

The Weight Watchers thing has, so far, been really helpful, but you know what helps even more?  All the times I failed before.  Even when I failed, I learned stuff.  I learned a lot of stuff.  Stuff about myself, my habits, my strengths and shortcomings.  Stuff about food, and shortcuts, and things that work and don’t work.  So, here’s a couple things I have learned:

1) Bread is bad, but that’s okay.  I don’t really need bread. I like bread.  I LOVE bread, even, but I don’t need it.  At least not like I thought I did.  The first time I attempted to shed a few pounds, the first thing I did was run out and find some “diet” or “light” bread so I wouldn’t have to give up my sandwiches.  You know what?  They all suck.  They are not nearly satisfying enough, and in the end, I would usually…
